Simulation of Sudden Water Pollution Accidents in Hunhe River Basin Upstream of Dahuofang Reservoir

Dahuofang Reservoir is an important drinking water source for Shenyang, Fushun, Anshan, Liaoyang, and other cities. The quality of the upstream inflow river directly affects supply safety. When a sudden pollution accident occurs reservoir, risk to can be minimized if variation rule pollutant concentration along course accurately simulated in time. Therefore, based on Mike 21, this paper established hydrodynamic coupling model Hun River basin Reservoir, determined verified relevant parameters model. In establishing model, improved empirical frequency curve method was adopted divide high-flow period, level low-flow so that hydraulic conditions each period were more reasonable. By hypothetical scenario working condition design, suspended iron COD simulated. diffusion rules pollutants different periods under obtained. most objective obtain six early warning index values hydrological periods, which allows prediction scope extent provides basis ensuring safety at source.
